Re: [SOLVED] Question on flash drive partitioning
Would it allow you to delete that partition? Then recreate partition 2 from the mmc? Might allow you to format after that. I talked to my brother he says "Why the hell wouldn't you use ntfs?" He isn't the biggest fan of linux. You know if you used cfdisk for partitioning and you specified the type o...

I just thought it would be necessary to add this to the list. A caterpillar who is recklessly impatient. Classic, Sharp and inspirational. http://th01.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/i/2 ... mer145.jpg

I remember seeing this elsewhere here, I thought it was important that it needed to be reposted here.

Accusations
I just needed to accuse @Hamza of having one of the most fantastic avatars. I started off with a pile of red dust (cayanne pepper), my most favorite spice, now I just got stupid kratos tux.
Posted after 3 minutes 45 seconds:
A little more thought reveals, I might just have an avatar crysis.

Re: Can't make Porteus Install on a flash drive...
ext2 and ext3; in either case, when I try to run lin_start_here.sh , I get an error message telling me that script file doesn't exist. I believe I had this same problem. I am reposting because I think this would be the appropriate place for it, and I had one hell of a time trying to locate it. Alri...

Not a terrible suggestion tho @att.
@Ahau I was just stating that I don't think anyone is intentionally going to change the blocksize. I do understand the pro/cons of adjusting the blocksize.

Re: [suggestion] "mksquashfs" instead of "create_module"
I was a little confused about the create_module at first. Now I understand its use. I think it is quite funny that on the main page we have. It's small (under 300Mb) and insanely fast which allows you to start up and get online while most other operating systems are left spitting dust. Porteus comes...

Re: Objective of Porteus?
I had noticed yesterday that lxde.org let there domain name expire. There Sourceforge page still exists.
It says that changes are still being made. Is there still an active development? Are they letting it fall to the wayside?
I hope not it is my interface of choice.

Re: RAM usage 3.21gb instead of 4gb
The actual line in the linuxrc is as follows
Cheatcode is not = ram=100% it is ramsize=100%
Now this is the rc2 of 64bit that I am pulling info from.
Code: Select all
RAMSIZE=`value ramsize`; if [ ! $RAMSIZE ]; then RAMSIZE=60%; fiNow this is the rc2 of 64bit that I am pulling info from.

The main dis-advantage is that, as of right now the x86_32bit is a little behind, as far as development versions go.
