Re: Porteus Nemesis v3.3 BUG REPORTS

@kalo: No. There is no relation with the 32 bit ISO. All you need to have access to the 32 bit packages is multilib. It is already accessible under arch Linux, so should be under nemesis unless keyrings are needed. See: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Multilib Hi, yesterday I managed to solve ...

Re: Porteus Nemesis v3.3 BUG REPORTS

Ok for a 32-bit ISO but I need a 64-bit environment with multilibs in order to compile Android stuff.
Other dependencies/packages are just solved thanks to pman.
This evening I will try again ;-)

Re: Porteus Nemesis v3.3 BUG REPORTS

Thank you for the reply, but do you refer to a new ISO 32-bit or to a module that will bring 32-bit libraries on x86-64 Porteus Nemesis?

Re: Porteus Nemesis v3.3 BUG REPORTS

Hi beny, I just read a similar wiki but when I type the command "pman -Syu", the package manager would download/upgrade lot of packages.
It would be very useful to know what multilib integrates "inside" so I can download 32-bit packages on a 64-bit OS.
Regards,

Re: Porteus Nemesis v3.3 BUG REPORTS

Hello guys, I have one question and one request: 1. Do you notice heavy lags on Firefox? I.e. scrolling with the wheel of the mouse on a generic web page (for example google result of a query); 2. Is there a way to get multilib on Porteus Nemesis? I would like to compile Android and I need compat32-...

Re: HP Spectre x360 convertible boot issue

Hi, I'm sad! :( Setting different source repository on slackyd (before was slackware-64_14.1 and changing this to slackware-64_current), I was able to download all new txz modules, convert them into xzm and with lsxzm command I added all new updated modules to the /modules folder. Pity form me but t...

Thank you roadie, I will try soon.
It will be a long process but in my free time I'll try to do it manually (I have no choise).

Re: HP Spectre x360 convertible boot issue

Beny, at the moment I returned back to Porteus because I have other issues on Porteus-Nemesis...
If I solve the xorg issue on Porteus v3.1, I'm really ok with Porteus in general.
Do you have any advice regarding the xorg module?
Thanks,

Re: HP Spectre x360 convertible boot issue

Hi, I have an update: leaving only 000-kernel.xzm and 001-core.xzm in /base folder, I'm finally able to start Porteus v3.1 x86_64 in text mode. Then I'm sure the problem is inside the last module: 002-xorg.xzm. I'm thinking to compile one per one each module inside that module and then create a new ...

002-xorg.xzm upgrade

Hello people, I upgraded my machine with a new HP Spectre x360 convertible. Since the laptop brings a new hardware, I am having issue with Porteus v3.1. Playing around with Porteus Nemesis modules, I managed to boot Porteus v3.1 in text mode using the new xorg module from Porteus Nemesis (I know it'...

Hello,
On the latest Porteus Nemesis v3.3 I am experiencing lags on both touchpad and mouse.
Is anyone noticing this?
