Re: Porteus -v3.2 final

Hi guys, I'm running Cinnamon Porteus v3.2 64bit on my laptop HP Spectre (Intel Core i5 6th Gen Skylake). Using the firefox module I have to start the internet browser from the shell command "firefox". Anyway I notice that the graphics is very laggy. This is the output of "lspci -v" command: 00:00.0...

Re: Intel Wireless 7265 AC - Porteus v3.2

So my module also should do the job. This contains both versions of firmware for 7265 and 7265D. Where did you find that firmware files? They seem to be few months newer than mine. I downloaded the files direct from Intel website. Did you create the modules yourself and how? My selfmade ones look a...

Re: Intel Wireless 7265 AC - Porteus v3.2

Hello guys! Thanks for the answers, anyway I noticed on the output of "dmesg" command that the system tried to locate the missing firmware. For this reason I prepared two different modules (one for 7265 and the second for the 7265D) and with two tests I determined that my wifi card is the 7265D. The...

Re: Intel Wireless 7265 AC - Porteus v3.2

Nothing, I choosed the option 1 (copy the module on the porteus/modules folder and power on the laptop to be sure).
This is the screenshot:

I think there is a missing driver on the kernel.
Thanks for the support!

Intel Wireless 7265 AC - Porteus v3.2

Hello dear Community,

I'm running a test on my laptop (HP Spectre x360) and I noticed that my Intel WiFi card is not detected.
The output of "iwconfig" says that there is not any wireless device.
Is there a way to add the Intel modules on the new ISOs?

Thanks!

Re: 002-xorg.xzm upgrade

Hello wread,

Thank you for the module, I'm going to give a try on my machine.
I have a question: do you use this module on the latest official Porteus (v3.1)?
I read Porteus 3.1.5, where can I find this version?
Thanks!

Re: Building Blocks

I would like to know this famous "Step One" :)
I made a little modification on Porteus v3.1 upgrading the xorg module but the procedure (specially when it's done manually) is very slow and difficult.
I would appreciate to understand the right procedure.

Re: Porteus Nemesis v3.5 BUG REPORTS

Hi brokenman, I'm playing around with porteus-nemesis-v3.5-lxde-x86_64.iso. I have the same issue of the previous release: I don't have any working mouse (integrated touchpad, USB mouse, touchscreen). But if I boot in text mode (by adding "3" cheatcode at boot line), loggin into root/toor and sendin...

Re: Porteus Nemesis v3.4 BUG REPORTS

Hi Brokenman, any news about the next release? I feel very comfortable with the new base Arch. The "pman" tool is really fantastic. It's not a "must" but I would really appreciate if you could add the option in the contextual menu to activate/deactivate a module and to create a module from a folder....

Re: New laptop- yeah. porteus doesn't boot - blah

Hello, I have a great news! I managed to upgrade manually every package which is inside the xorg module and Porteus v3.1 x86_64 now boots fine on my new machine with 6th gen processor. To be sure I also tried booting on an older Intel Core i7 3th generation and it's really good. As soon as possible ...

Yes, I tried different kernels but no ways.
I think you should have to try Porteus Nemesis because the "old" Porteus v3.1 will not be upgraded.
