Re: lin_start_here.sh fails on Debian

First: echo -e works fine with Debian. I have executed chkbase.sh script and all is colored. ;) I can't copy your posted code, there are some characters which aren't copy. Second: I have used the mentioned commands to mount it, but it doesn't works for me. :P Furthermore I should say, that I used th...

Re: Permission problems

Yeah I know what you mean. :)
For that scenario I have a lot of different passwords.

But I think we shouldn't stop here to prevent that the topic will become too much off-topic.

Re: lin_start_here.sh fails on Debian

Thanks for the advice with the chkbase.sh script. The script runs without any problems, when you call it directly, so I commented out the line, where it is called. There are only problems executing it out of the bootextlinux.sh. @fanthom: Why do you use e=`tput sgr0` instead of e='\e[m' to end the c...

Re: Permission problems

Why do you say it is not recommended? :D
It is only a forum, so there is no security problem, if anyone would get my password. :P

lin_start_here.sh fails on Debian

Hello, I tried today to create a pendrive with porteus. The windows sided variant works perfect, but for a "change saving" porteus, I need the .dat-container or a posix compatible file system. So I decided to create a ext3 partition on the pendrive, copy the files and execute the lin_start_here.sh. ...

phpMyAdmin 3.4.4

Hello,

here is my first module.
It is very simple, but I hope it helps some people.

phpMyAdmin 3.4.4 requires at least PHP 5.2 and MySQL 5.
In the package includes all languages and the config allows blank passwords.

Re: Permission problems

There are some similarities. :D Preventing, that this topic will become a spam thread, I should ask something. ^^ Is there no option for stay logged in? It is annoying to log in every time, when I start my browser and restore the last session. Although if you are chatting here and are disconnected c...

Re: Permission problems

@Ahau:
I hope that it is so, otherwise it could be felt annoying by other users.
I hadn't any problems with spam in my own or community forums, so I am surprised.

@francois:
I hope so. :P
I am right, that you are the francois from slax.org?

You have problems with spamming?
I haven't experienced it yet with all forums I worked for.

But thanks for the information.

Permission problems

Hello, I am surprised that I have very restricted permissions in that forum. After the registration I got an email with the activation link which I used and I got the message The user is already activated , okay ... that can happen sometimes. Than I want to view a profile of an user, links aren't sh...

Package Manager in Text Mode

Hello, I have migrated from Slax to Porteus, because I hoped that I get here more support for my specified questions and perhaps newer kernel and so one. I have read the doc, FAQ and searched in the forum, but I can't find anything about the package manager in the text mode. Is there any possibility...
