Howto: Popular AppImages one click away

Howto: Popular AppImages one click away

I've recently discovered some handy information about AppImages at Reddit.

Also (although I'm not into games arena), there's 0 A.D. and Flightgear official Appimage directly from source.

Blaze's kernel 5.10.12 does not have crypto_user module.
I think Kernel 5.10.12 is AUFS only. Doesn't work for me in Nemesis. (I'm using 5.10.11)

Maybe this is causing such behaviour to you.

Thanks neko, this one works for me in Nemesis as well. The previous one stopped at boot time with a "Killed" message.

Hi neko,

can the 5.10 branch be used in Nemesis moving (symlinking) /lib to /usr/lib?

Once more, thanks for all your efforts :)

what else can cause 86% filesize Probably the -crf (constant rate factor) parameter. You can play with various values in both x264 and x265. Typical values I commonly see range from 20 (slow more compression), to 26 (faster fewer compression). It also accepts decimal values. Note that a 3 minute ar...

would it still copy subtitles or metadata
You can always map the intended audio stream:

Code: Select all

ffmpeg -i IF -map 0:a:x OF
where x is the audio stream number starting from 0.

See stream specifiers.

Where do you see the last output of the ffmpeg command in the GUI?
