Re: Can anyone watch DRM videos?

OK, I tested with a clean ISO and it worked indeed. There's something (a module, rootcopy) messing my system.

it even prompted to enable drm for me and updated the plugin automatically
But this is a Firefox thing. What really matters is the video being played. Is it? Even this one?

Re: Can anyone watch DRM videos?

@neko, confirmed! It works even with other Firefox versions. It seems to be a problem related to our recent ffmpeg build for internal test (i.e. Porteus 5).

Thanks!

Re: Can anyone watch DRM videos?

I'm aware that Firefox can auto-install Widevine plugin. Actually I wrote a tutorial 2 years ago teaching how to watch Netflix on Porteus x64. You have to pay attention that not all videos from Castlabs are DRM protected. If you click on a DRM sample you should see a tooltip at the right of the vide...

Can anyone watch DRM videos?

I'm failing to watch DRM protected videos on Linux, like these: https://demo.castlabs.com/ https://www.tvnz.co.nz/shows/the-hard-stuff-with-nigel-latta (user: sweetking@mailinator.com / pass: 123456789) Tested on Firefox 60 and Opera 58. I also tried on Xubuntu 18.10, but no success. :( On Windows i...

That's the thing. I want to open any kind of file! Why it refuses to open binaries? :unknown:

[SOLVED] How to open any file inside a text editor?

This is so annoying! In Windows you can drag 'n drop any file to a Notepad-like program and it will load the file as a text, no matter the extension. But this doesn't seem trivial to do on Linux. Any ideas?

Re: Opera Stable 58.0

You can try to improve this module by: 1- including folder /usr/lib64/opera/lib_extra and copying this lib into it so that we can load more codecs (check here ); 2- removing opera_autoupdate -- it does't make much sense considering how xzm works; 3- removing localization files (except en-US) inside ...
