Evan was before my time and I have seen posts from him without any content besides <deleted>. I am curious as to what happened.

Re: How to transfer files from unbootable PC over the network?
Anyone still interested in Qshare? I have a module that works on my 3.1 32 bit kde. I also have Dukto and a couple java apps called p300 and lanxchange that work really well. All four programs are available for ms windows too. Before I found Qshare I was using a Puppy Linux called Pupserver 435. If ...

Re: Are posts in other languages translated to english?
Cool. I have not used google for quite some time, so I forgot about that feature.
If only DDG did that.
Thanks, Ed_P

Are posts in other languages translated to english?
I am just curious whether the posts in other languages are integrated (translated) into the english only section or is that possibly relevant information never to be read by english only readers, like me.

Re: DuckDuckGo and other Porteus support
I like being able to manually enter the "t=porteus" . if I am on a library computer, for instance.
On my home computers I save the url as a bookmark, which enables the "t=porteus" automagically.
Thanks for the info.

Re: DuckDuckGo and other Porteus support
If I insert "t=porteus" into the DDG url when I am on another operating system, like MS Windows using internet exploder, does Porteus get anything from it?
That would be funny. And cool.

Re: Virtualbox and Windows 7
Vbox builder is cool. When it is done you will have a module that can be put in the modules folder, which will activate on boot.
In Vbox you will need to create a new VM and point it to the downloaded image I mentioned earlier.
Vbox works GREAT on my Porteus 3.1 KDE.

Re: Virtualbox and Windows 7
I think there are VBOX images available from Microsoft and maybe even the Virtualbox website. Do a Ducksearch for Virtualbox images.

Re: Porteus members in your area (LUG)
Being able to find Porteus users- PLUG, or Linux users of any species in my area would be awesome. Having a local contact list would be great, but coordinating a gathering physically is beyond my capability. I guess that is why God created forums. I do not see very many forum members exposing their ...

Re: DuckDuckGo and other Porteus support
I think I should start a new thread, because my little adventure is becoming deeper than expected. Finding the "T=porteus" is harder than I was hoping.
I do not want to hijack my own thread.
