[solved] problem with chrome and 3 dot/line menu
Hi, I've just been remastering for 2 kiosks I look after, and before installing on live machine I test on a virtualbox machine first. I've discovered that there appears to be an issue with Google Chrome in the latest version. If you select any option from chrome's menu (I discovered it when trying t...

Re: 'blocked' site Google Chrome
Set it to just Mozilla/5.0 and that seemed to do the trick. Thanks for your help.

Re: 'blocked' site Google Chrome
fanthom - thanks - I put browser_user_agent=Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 10.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/6.0) in the config file. The site works but for some reason Chrome decides to try and open Msie/ as a page, Windows/ as a page, NT/ and Trident/6.0 as a page. Also tried it with " around the string.

Works perfectly fine in Chrome on Windows! Also tried it in incognito mode on Windows too and was fine.
Works fine using Firefox on Porteus Kiosk.

[Solved] 'blocked' site Google Chrome
This was happening only in Google Chrome on Porteus 4. Thought I'd try with latest version. Same problem - if you try and access the site http://www.jet2.com you get a denied error message. The message in the browser window reads: Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.jet2.co...

Adding an additional printer driver (PPD and filter)
Adding a PPD into Porteus Kiosk After a bit of trial and error and some fantastic support from Tomasz J. I finally managed to get a printer driver installed and working. The existing tutorial wasn't quite as plain sailing so I thought I'd knock up my own little guide for anyone else who might be st...

no it wasn't that one. The first Porteus Kiosk screen comes up then it goes blank and then just a few random text characters on top line some coloured and then nothing. As though X not starting. The graphics card is Nvidia Ion. I've put 3.7.0 on for now as I am installing to a live environment - onc...
