While blogtrolling I did compose:

Hi. Was surfing and saw your review. I am a gui user as often as I can. However I like things to work, so I want to change what I feel that more, uh, 'works-for-me [italics]' I cannot argue with your comments. I do not have enough talent hacking linux, whether from gui or clui, so I won't. I would l...

Re: Release date in stone yet?

Version 1 would be so cool! I have spent a fortune on CDs in the past few weeks, hopping from one rc to the next :D Seriously, bugs are fun for many of us Linux Lovers, eh? Not horrifying ones that prevent us from using our left sides or make everything smell like pears.... but, uh, you know ...

Re: Warning Health Hazzard

Ah thanks. I have had some, uh, health problems. I have been bombarded with shamans [medical doctors]. Those guys never stop prescribing, as prescribing pills is a lot easier than diet advice and things like that. I am very amazed and dismayed about the meth/coca/opiates/caffeine/asa pentagram. It s...

Re: Warning Health Hazzard

I would look a bit deeper. Why is the television announcing 'associated with, is thought to and opinion pols find....." as things known? ...."War on terror, war on drugs, freedom, liberty, justice, democracy, chemical imbalance, allegedly." Pft, Our beautiful English Language now co-opted by crafty ...

Re: Just To Say Hi

Hello I'm here. I can hardly wait for stable issue of Porteus. I will enjoy this trip. Oh, it is a trip. This is pretty trippy. My data is where I want it. My little porteus OS is where I can keep it. In my pocket. Interesting learning to get this up and running and anticipating it's quirks. :wall: ...

Re: Problem with save.dat and changments.

Just to clarify -- Are you running porteus from the CD, and trying to save changes to your hard drive, or have you installed porteus to the hard drive? You don't need a save.dat file to save changes on an ext partiton. you just need to specify a directory, e.g. /mnt/sda1/porteus/changes. If you are...

Re: /mnt/sda1 /dev/sda1/ save.dat 0.dat mnt/changes mnt/port

I am sorry. I do not know how to change the subject. If you wish, you could change to a more suitable one. I am not really sure what the title should be, so I made the stupid one you see. Porteus. 1 rc2 64 this is the profile of the Host OS. BEGIN Computer Summary Computer Processor 4x Intel(R) Core...

[SOLVED] Problem with save.dat and changes.

[Solved] Host: My box = Linux Mint 10 64 with a root EXT4 partition and home EXT4 partition NO /porteus/ NO /changes/ So I can go through this and step by step. Hoping someone would like to point to what I did wrong. This is fresh boot of cd porteus1 rc2 64 with default cheats after that, I think m...
