As for other ttf fonts I have, I have found that copying them directly to /usr/share/fonts/TTF does the trick :celebrate3:

[SOLVED] Display / install japanese fonts

I'm having problems displaying japanese fonts, both in webpages & in LibreOffice - they show up as 食料品売り場以外は、. My guess is that there are no japanese fonts installed in porteus, as Mate Font Viewer only shows DejaVu and while LibreOffice shows many other fonts, none seems to corrrespond to japanese....

@ beny : Tried , but didn't work. @ Blaze : Downloaded, installed and tested from a FAT32 pendrive: that did the trick :Yahoo!: I have tested it and it did print perfectly a pdf with Atril, a txt with pluma and a doc with LibreOffice. Scanning also works with Document Scanner and Xsane! Thanks a bun...

Hi, beny, tried again following your suggestion, stopping cups after removing the printer from cups, then activating the module with my drivers, then restarting cups and then adding my printer, but to no avail. Still no luck :unknown:

You are indeed right about the grub2 configuration: only the second set root line (search ...) is needed. And placing the cheatcodes after linux /boot/syslinux/vmlinuz does work.
