Running Unetbootin
I'm trying to use Unetbootin to create a linux mint live usb. I've done this in the past successfully with porteus but now I'm running into issues. When I run unetbootin it copies the iso files over to the usb and finishes the start up file installation in under 1 second. This seemed odd to me it wo...

Mate changing task bar position
After changing the task bar position from top to the left side of your screen it becomes inactive and none of the menu items work. A reset will cause it to work again. This happens anytime you change the task bar position.

Unable to run executable
I'm trying to run unetbootin 494 but when I click it open nothing happens. I have ran this program from porteus before with no problems. I haven't made any changes to my install since then. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,

Re: OpenGL GLX context is not using direct rendering
Update *
I downloaded the 32compat lib directly from USM. This one came with mesa and all of the proper files. Looks like steam is working fine now.

Re: My new go to Linux OS
Aye , count me in. I have like 20 different thumb drives. I used Porteus to restore my HDD by nuking it. However I only use Windows to play one game other than that I'm on Linux.

When the hard drive on my laptop broke. I was looking for an OS I could run off one of my many spare thumb drives. I tried dozens of different linux builds. I eventually settled with Mint but got tired of it freezing constantly. Porteus was the solution for my problem. It was very light weight , eas...

Re: Install from live usb

Then type in the password (toor) and you are now root. Installation operation should be done as root. Hope that helps.

Thanks

That seems to have found it but why can't the executable in the boot folder seem to find it. Can you post the full command line you used to make it work.Bogomips wrote:stuck on stupid wrote:Same thing sfdisk not found.Code: Select all
