Re: Dual monitor setup — Porteus 3.0 RazorQt
I added the nVidia module as per above and ran ... nvidia-settings ... as root so as to permit the (gui) settings app to save to xorg.conf. Adds a little lag to boot/initial launch of the desktop, but otherwise it seems to be working fine. The nVidia gui settings options are much more robust than za...

Re: How to add virtual desktops to the panel pager? — RazorQ
I converted my Slackbuild built ".tgz" package to Porteus ".xzm" module via gui "USM (Porteus Package Manager)" tools. Is it safe to presume that USM --> Tools --> modtools --> 'Convert a slackware package to a module' simply acts as a frontend for the command you posted above? txz2xzm /path/to/my/p...

Re: How to add virtual desktops to the panel pager? — RazorQ
Thanks brokenman. I started addressing that 'rc.xml' file via LXTerminal and discovered that I don't have 'nano' installed (which I'm used to coming from the deb/untu-verse). Tried 'vi' for a second. It still looked arcane to me even after googling for 'quick-start' key shortcuts. Moved on to gui. L...

Re: Dual monitor setup — Porteus 3.0 RazorQt
Ah, thanks for the reminder Francois. The official Nvidia gui gadget had slipped my mind. I'd gotten in the habit of preferring noveau back when the Nvidia driver still broke 'suspend' and 'hibernate' (they'd fail by returning to a hung blank screen). I think I recall mention of such being fixed a y...

Would that be 'freestyler'? (I noticed Obosan wishing him well in the mini-chat). Based on his travel preparations, I'm guessing he'll have quite a trip. 8) [Ha!, yep, looked back at the site and my 'noscript' extension turned me on to his "born2ill" site ... and I suppose the 'About' page offered s...
