I am using porteus 3.0 - do you know how can I change hostname ?
I was trying with command hostname and also edited /etc/HOSTNAME and /etc/hosts but it does not work, after restart hostname is still "porteus".

I have made newest chrome module from usm with dependencies, but google maps still does not work. I dont know what is wrong with that chrome on porteus - do you have any ideas ? As I said it is working fine in firefox (on other distros like crunchbang chrome is working fine too).

I started to use porteus xfce as my desktop os, but there is problem with mplayer and subtitles - they are on top and I dont know to change that position to bottom. I have tried also lxde and kde and there subtitles are in proper postion.

go to http://ponce.cc/porteus/i486/current/packages/Language-Selection-Tool/ and download the locales for your DE. like 003-xfce_locales.xzm if you are using XFCE and 001-core_locales.xzm . Activate them and then run the language selection from porteus settings like you did before and choose polish...
