Does anyone have Chrome 49.0.2623.112 and Vivaldi 1.0.435.42-1? I'm running 32 bit Porteus 3.1 XFCE. Thanks in advance! EDIT: Using brokenman's script posted here returns this error: guest@porteus:~$ su Password: root@porteus:/home/guest# ./chrome.sh --2016-04-11 22:21:59-- https://dl.google.com/lin...

Re: Installing JDK 8 and Eclipse on porteus?
Sorry, noob here. I've downloaded and activated jre-8u66-i586-1.xzm from the links provided on the thread that you linked, but I'm not sure how to proceed from here. I found this thread and here slaxmax says that for JDK I'll have to download an additional file (jdk-8u66-linux-i586.tar.gz) along wit...

Re: Installing Spotify
Hmm so you're saying that if I install it under KDE, Spotify will work right off the bat and no additional dependencies will be required?

Re: Installing Spotify
I'm assuming porteus doesn't include ldd by default, because I keep getting the message "ldd: ./spotify: No such file or directory"sunnysideofthesun wrote:Or maybe you could use ldd to see if all needed libraries are present (if Porteus includes ldd by default)

Re: Installing Spotify
Okay, I converted it to a module and activated it. I even see the Spotify icon under Applications, but nothing happens I click on it. Do any of you run (or know anyone who does, for that matter) Spotify on Porteus? I figure if that person uploads their spotify module somewhere and I installed it, I ...

Re: Porteus Issues
Okay, I've downloaded NetworkManager. Any way I can convert this .tar.xz file to .xzm? Also I can't download the OpenVPN configuration files from the other site that you linked, it keeps asking for login details.

Setting up OpenVPN on 32 bit Porteus 3.1 KDE
Does anyone know how to do it? I can't download the GUI version because porteus-apps seems to be down. Thanks!
EDIT: This may sound a little noob-y, but does using OpenVPN prevent your ISP from knowing what sites you visit/what you download?

Re: Screen Recorder for Porteus (32 bit)
