Re: Porteus aKDEmia Edition?
@Wread Nice Look! :Bravo: I' ve tested on Porteus 2.1 and works fine too. :Yahoo!: As Brokenman, I also think that this a-KDE-mic version of Porteus will be well received, not only by your students at the University, but by anyone else who like that look. Personally I think that it is a good tool to...

Re: USM Convert tgz/txz to xzm... mariadb-5.5.32-i486-1.txz
Hi: If I want to avoid that situation (I've been there) I work the conversion at the directory where I want the module: 1.- Open a terminal 2.- Change to the Directory where the .txz module is: cd /path/to/the/directory 3.- use the txz2xzm command: txz2xzm mariadb-5.5.32-i486-1.txz mariadb-5.5.32-i4...

Re: Replace packages from 05-devel.xzm
@brokenman:
Thanks.
I'll take care about glibc!
A last question: after intallpckg (for each lib) I need to reassemble 05-devel.xzm, as far as I remember I just use the command dir2xzm. Is there need of any other step before dir2xzm?
Regards.
Thanks.

Re: Replace packages from 05-devel.xzm
@ fanthom & @brokenman: Thanks for your advice and instructions. :good: Question about replacing (updating): Can I cause serious conflicts replacing some pckgs by newers (updating )? [Solved] Replace packages from 05-devel.xzm
Hi: I want to replace some libs from 05-devel. I've read about extracting from the module at http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=3002&p=20955&hilit=remove+from+module#p20985 , but what about replacing , not just removing?. The fact is that, from 05-devel.xzm , I want to replace some libs/p...

Re: Invalid format for .desktop file
@brokenman:
Thanks!
Blender is starting now from the icon at the start menu.
I can see that boot as root don't make me a super user as you are, I'll try the underpants outside with a cape and evaluate the results!
Best regards.

Re: Invalid format for .desktop file
@brokenman & @phhpro I've converted using iconv and krite, but the file is still reported as ASCII, included the file blender.destop.new. Something wierd is that when the file is opened with krite the encoding is reported by krite as UTF-8, once saved the same file is reported as ASCII. What else ca...
