Re: V3 Skype, Libre and Great little Radio Player
if you have already modules for v2.1 you can try activate them on v3.0 in fresh mode (but don't mix very basic modules). If they work you can use them. Skype module will be the same because it is distributed only as precompiled binary. Ok I went back to 2.1 and all is well, I have completed my proj...

Re: [SOLVED] Make_iso.sh doesn't work anymore
Thanks. I edited the post above to "solved". I just saved the session as module and it did what I needed.

[SOLVED] Make_iso.sh doesn't work anymore
Porteus 2.1 here working with a heavily modified KDE desktop. My make_iso ISO only boot to stock Porteus in guest or root. No changes show. Working with USB drive I can simply copy the USB from one to another USB and that works. In IMGburn I can create an ISO out of those same files and then burn th...

[SOLVED] Re: V3 Skype, Libre and Great little Radio Player
Fanthom: GRACIAS SEÑOR....that is kind of what I thought, that I could add those to V3. Thanks
phppro: You are a dumb ass. Even outside of the Newbie Forum that would be an egotistical answer providing no help to me but boosting your arrogance and post count a bit. Nice job.

Re: Kiosk will not run from USB
Thank you for your help and I am sure it is easy once one knows how.
For now I am giving "Just Browsing" a try. It is also a Linux based browser kiosk type option.
If I come back to Porteus Kiosk I will post here.

Re: Kiosk will not run from USB
I believe the correct path was /dev/sdb as stated in the instructions under various distros. Unfortunately I always get "permission denied" or it seems to be working and nothing ever gets written to the USB device. I have spent many hours and must move on to another kiosk solution. Each step with Po...

Re: Kiosk will not run from USB
Ok thanks for your response. I have attempted this since I last posted and I cannot get the dd command to work mainly because I cannot figure out what the path is to my target device. Example: dd if=porteus-kiosk-v2.1.1-i486.iso of=/dev/sdb My USB device is listed as /media/USB 8GB as far as I can s...

Kiosk will not run from USB
The new Kiosk wizard here http://build.porteus.org/kiosk/ has an option to build USB/HD version which I assume is the Hybrid ISO version. I extracted it using Z-Zip onto my USB drive. I then attempt to boot from USB but it just redirects to Grub loader. Does the http://build.porteus.org/kiosk/ tool ...
