Not a valid Porteus module, got this error mesagge. :Search: Ok, it required Java RE. I downloaded and activated Java, I restarted, and Libre appears in the menu but doesn't run. Quoting myself again :D Problem is solved. Cups was missing, I downloaded and installed Cups package from Slackware repo...

The acpi_osi=Linux as cheat code solved part of the problem. If I power on with the brightness max, it boots, but if I don't change the brightness level, screen goes black. At least, now the brightness control is working on the desktop.

Brightness problem with Intel T4500
I have a Gateway laptop with the T4500 chip, I've read that gives some problems with the brightness at sartup. If I power on the laptop with low brightness, screen goes black, but if I power on with max brightness everything is normal. Once in the desktop I can't change the brightness and the batter...

[SOLVED] Persistence problems
Hi, new to Porteus. I´ve been doing all the steps according to instructions to create and edit the append line in porteus.cfg but I can´t get persistence working. I´m using a pendrive and set the .dat file in sdb1, not in the pendrive. No error messages at boot.
Any help please?
