Porteus 3 kde is great but my preference is porteus 3 mate because the boot up is faster than porteus3 kde. I do hope that the porteus team will be able to solve the blu...

Something just happened while I was typing the earlier post. Suddenly, while i was typing halfway, I could not type in any letters with my keyboard into the texbox. I wonder if this is the proble of Opera 12.6? Another thing I want to ask is is there a way to get Chrome working under root? Chrome do...

Re: how to load my desktop and bypass login screen?

Please post a full xpsinfo report. Thanks Hamza for offering to check for me and see what was my problem. part of the reason why I didn't reply was because I really believed that the problem cannot be with porteus but something to do with my computer. As i later posted that yumi multiboot helped me...

Re: [SOLVED] how to load my desktop and bypass login screen?

Thanks brokenman and Hamza, Yes, it worked smoothly and i managed to convert ubuntu's deb to xzm (porteus modules). Really nice idea to activate or deactivate modules. Makes things so much cleaner, logical on the practical side, easier and allows user to have wider options. Porteus is really setting...

It is a different experience from using puppy but it is somehow a very pleasant, surprising and refreshing experience that I cannot clearly describe yet. Re: how to load my desktop and bypass login screen?

Thanks fanthom, yes, i noticed now that in francois menu.lst, there's no file.dat (save file). this means that the system is ext3 so no need to have save.dat file. my pendrive is fat32 so i'm using a save file for persistence. Somehow, the login=root could not work in fat32. I hope the problem can b...
