Re: Porteus 3.0 final feedback

@fanthom

Thanks for the suggestion. I used gParted to create a partition table on the usb, created on partition, and recopied Porteus to it. Porteus is initially mounted as sdb1 instead of sdb, but the issue is still there. I will keep investigating.

Re: Porteus 3.0 final feedback

Hi fanthom,

Unfortunately, the total size of my modules is quite large and would take up to much ram. I am saving changes using magic folders. As a temporary fix, I have disabled sleep. Is it possible that the mopt cheat code could help?

Re: Porteus 3.0 final feedback

Porteus XFCE 3.0 64-bit Bug It seems the boot usb is ejected when the system is suspended (put to sleep). When the system is awakened, an "Input/Output" error is generated for any application or code that was not used before the system was suspended. I used the noeject cheatcode, but this did not fi...

[Solved] Corrupt Modules from PPM

I'm having trouble downloading modules from PPM. The modules that get downloaded are always 656 bytes in size and activating them says that they are corrupt. I am able to download modules from http://ponce.cc/porteus/x86_64/modules through a browser with no issues. PPM was working fine to begin with...

Re: Feedback for Porteus version 2.0 RC2

Regarding playlists, it does appear that audacious does not support the csv format. I poked around a bit, and it does support the following: asx, audpl, m3u, pls, and xspf. I don't use playlists, are any of these portable to other players the same way as csv? From personal experience, it seems m3u ...

Re: Feedback for Porteus version 2.0 RC2

@Ahau:

item 1: It seems that only non-animated gifs work on my end. Bmp, animated gif, jpg and png cause segfaults.

item 4: Thanks for the tip.

@Ahau and @fanthom

Thanks for your hard work and quick responses.

Re: Feedback for Porteus version 2.0 RC2

Porteus 2.0 XFCE 64 Bugs 1) Bug: tumblerd segfaults when the generation of thumbnails is triggered. Eg. viewing a folder with pictures in it. As a result, thumbnails aren't generated. 2) Bug: /opt/porteus-scripts/xfce/convert_txz script is not working on tgz files. I think its because the package ex...
