I have Firefox installed but it won't open most porteus website pages. I use Firefox and am not having that problem. Update: That did the trick. You can tell I'm a complete novice. I just downloaded the file, activated it, clicked on it in the Menu and got absolutely Nothing.

Tried terminal mode and got:

A good link francois. It explains the concepts well. My hdd is partitioned; EFI, OS, Data, Backups along with a couple of system recovery partitions.

On older systems the drive's partition table is usually at the beginning of the drive.

lscpi didn't return any text, but here is my xorg log[/code] ls pc i not lscpi. But if entered correctly and with the vidia search it could indicate that the name is in upper case. Try with VIDIA.
