Re: Forum bugs

Hi fanthom,

Up to now I used the http://forum.porteus.org/ link and auto log in didn't work. If I log in from the http://forum.porteus.org/ it works like a charm. Thanks! :Yahoo!:

Cheers

Re: Forum bugs

In other phpBB forums there is an option you can tick if you want to enable autologin in every visit. Regarding if it's safe or not, I think each user should decide for himself/herself. :)

Of course, if it's disabled due to a bug to the set-up of the forum, that's totally understandable.

Re: What was the first computer you put your hands on?

It was a Pentium III at 660MHz back in the end of 1999 or so. It originally had Windows 98 but I managed to squeeze in XP.

Re: Forum bugs

How about an option to keep the user logged in? This is not a bug exactly, but in similar phpBB powered forums this option exists.

Re: [HOWTO] An Introduction to GPU computing (CUDA) on Porte

This guide can now be found at two places:
1) The DOC section in the main Porteus site:
http://www.porteus.org/info/docs/51-development.html

2) In the official NVIDIA forum:
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=197477
The main reason for the latter is of course to advertise the distro

Re: The Porteus Teams

I'd be glad to help out in the DOC department :) I've already written a guide on how to use Porteus for GPU computing (for some serious number crunching!) and I'm currently doing some brainstorming on topics for more guides. Of course, I would also prepare DOCs for more everyday stuff. Let me know w...

Re: Porteus on the net

All of these are secondary IMHO. Porteus should appear in http://distrowatch.com . That's the benchmark for all new distros
