Gimp-2.10.4 for Porteus 4.0

Thanks, the slimmed down version works like a charm. :D Why does it behave like a Windoze version? The main window, and the two main extra Toolbox and Brushes, are merged into one window. Was that done on purpose? The setting is in Menu Windows / [ ] Single-Window Mode, so no big deal in changing th...

Porteus-v4.0 bug reports

after suspend On my newer laptop no external device is recognized after suspend. That sucks. Funnily enough, I tried switching on WLAN on my Android, connect the Android Smartphone via USB to the laptop and activate USB tethering. Et voilà it works. Now I have a functioning "wired connection 2", bu...

Porteus-v4.0 bug reports

With 4.0 XFCE I got the following weird network error: when I first startup Port, all is well, the eth0 wired network gets connected okay. But after suspend (pm-suspend) the network no longer works. Trying to make a ping tells me "network not available" (or such), the green icon at the LAN cable fem...

Porteus-v4.0 bug reports

I am unable to access any of the DVD menu, Porteus-v4.0 bug reports (Post by ncmprhnsbl #65191) yeah, the --enable-dvdnav configure option is probably pointless.. Hmm would gnome-mpv be able to play DVDs? But AFAIK thats only a wrapper starting mpv or is it a standalone binary? About the sound. ......

Porteus-v4.0 bug reports

● System: Porteus XFCE 4.0 x86-64 with, of course, added mpv-0.27.2-x86_64-2_SBo.xzm Since due to moving I have no encrypted DVD at hand, so I tried the only DVD I had, a non encrypted one on a DVD+RW disc, but one with its original DVD menu intact. guest@porteus:/$ mpv dvd://0 Playing: dvd://0 libd...

Do you also have the numbers for i586 versions?
Sorry, no.
does Jay have these?

Update
He wrote me an PM telling me to use Virtual Box. So seems he not has the sizes.
I presume just checking openbox i586 should give us the smallest MB size. :)

Did you miss the smilie? I was kidding/teasing/trying to be funny. Irony is often misread indeed on the intertubes. No offence meant. Typing forum replies via Android sucks. Yes, and yet you keep doing it. :unknown: And what's your point? When all I have is an Android Smartphone and no Linux / Port...

Porteus linux on the net or on the waves of the web

@Rava, it's hard to say the minimum to run the system, since it will depend of the use -- a browser, for instance, can take 1 GB of RAM pretty easily. Here are the measurements of the after-boot: So, in from - to (or minimum RAM - maximum RAM) we have, for x86-64: RAM: 146 MB (Openbox x64) - 437 MB...

Porteus linux on the net or on the waves of the web

Does anyone have a quotable forum post that lists the toram needed RAM for every available Version for 4.0? T...

Gimp-2.10.2 for Porteus 4.0

My gimp-2.8.6 version only had gimp, babl and gegl, and with only German locales it is only 8.88 MB (9314304 bytes) The 2.10.2 gimp seems to be quite the massive one, compared to the older version. I tried to slim it down, but to almost no avail. Does anyone know why that is? Will a minimal 2.12.0 v...
