Re: Firefox Release 32.0.3-de
Hi, I created a " mozilla/plugins/ " directories at /usr/lib/ and downloaded the latest Adobe Flash Player - libflashplayer.so and paste on "plugins". Now any video can be downloaded using Net Video Hunter. So, it was my fault because I have not checked the presence of Flash Player "lib" at least on...

Re: root password issue
My problem was in boot directory permissions, it was root only access. I copied both Porteus directories - boot and porteus using "sudo" command because for some reasons my flash drive was "root" only access. I changed the permissions and not sure but was all right. But the password problem still wa...

Re: root password issue
During reboot strange signs and squares appeared on console text. There was no problems with "allways fresh mode" and access to Porteus Package manager and other system functions. So, I think it is a flesh drive problem. I will check that tomorrow, if I'm right I will delete this topic. Sorry for wa...

Re: Guest problem
Hello francois and all other forum-mates who tried to help me! Thanks a lot for you big patience, but nothing you told me, helped. Today I tried to re-install Porteus 2.1 RazorQt, but I didn't succeed. Previously I checked for "bad-blocks" my USB drive with PartedMagic CD and formated it over and ov...

Re: Guest problem
I found with command "fdisk -l" my Porteus usb drive is sdc1 so I changed to this: LABEL razor MENU LABEL Graphics mode (Razor) KERNEL vmlinuz APPEND initrd=initrd.xz changes=/mnt/sdc1/porteus Still nothing. On RazorQt (normal boot) I still cannot login as guest user only as root. On Always f...

Re: Guest problem
I went to /mnt/sdb1/porteus and there changed the name of "cahnges" to "shanges " folder and created a new one - empty "changes" . Is that correct? My "porteus.cfg" file is in /mnt/sdb1/boot/syslinux , here is the first boot line: LABEL razor MENU LABEL Graphics mode (Razor) KERNEL vmlinuz APPEND in...

Re: Guest problem
You are right and you can also rename changes folder instead it delete. I just renamed and created a new "changes" directory. When I boot into a "RazorQt" mode, I noticed nothing changed and the guest login problem still there and on "Always fresh" mode all okay. So, maybe it's an installation prob...

Re: Porteus changing distro
I voted for Ubuntu (LTS). Also I like much more Mint based on Ubuntu LTS. Anyway, no matter which distro will be chosen, I like all OSs based on Linux kernel.

Re: Guest problem
So I should boot into "Always fresh" or erase the "changes=" cheatcode and then erase all directories and subdirectories under changes folder? I'm I right? For example:
Right?
Code: Select all
rm -rf /"where_is_located_changes"

Re: Guest problem
@ tome I tried that cheat code: base_only nonetwork nohotplug noauto nohd , I added it on Porteus.cfg and then also tried it on boot (I edited one of boot modes, only left "APPEND initrd=initrd.xz" and added the cheat codes). When I used the full cheat code, appeared a blue text error message: "Port...
