Re: Poptrayminus 1.2.0

dunno Ed, maybe you need the exact package from slackware current official (if not all those exact packages above)
python-chardet-3.0.4-x86_64-3.txz

Re: Poptrayminus 1.2.0

yeah, sorry, compiling not necessary: seems to working with these packages: (all slackware-current)(in porteus 4.0 cinnamon) PyQt-4.12.1-x86_64-3.txz python-chardet-3.0.4-x86_64-3.txz qt-4.8.7-x86_64-11.txz sip-4.19.8-x86_64-3.txz and poptrayminus_1.2_all.deb converted to .xzm python-chardet being t...

Re: Chromium download error

best off choosing to make a newer version, when using update-chromium, since that faulty module on the server is quite old now..

Re: Poptrayminus 1.2.0

well sip is a separate package called sip , oddly enough.. (fair to say, debian/ubuntu packaging differs somewhat from slackware) but yeah that pyqt package i linked is from slackware-current and you might be better off using 14.2 packages (because the 'current' of porteus 4.0 release has moved on a...

Re: Widgets on Porteus 4.0 x64 LXDE

imlib2 is what you're after, and most likely tolua
http://slakfinder.org/ is quite handy, you can use the 'filename' search box to find specific libs in packages..
there's also porteus's own package manager usm which can handle a lot of dependency issues(including lib searches)

Re: Widgets on Porteus 4.0 x64 LXDE

try running in terminal:

Code: Select all

conky-manager
to see if there is any useful output
also

Code: Select all

ldd /usr/bin/conky-manager | grep "not found"
might show some missing libs (possibly json-glib and libgee)
i suspect that you may also need some deps for conky..

Re: SpaceFM

um :) the openbox module released with porteus 4.0 already has SpaceFM alpha (so, you have, in fact, downgraded it)

Re: radiotray does not work

How does one determine what dependencies are actually included in a module? This command doesn't do that. it lists what packages are included in the module.. so how does it not? I'm confused. Why didn't USM resolve all these dependencies?? check out /var/usm/slackonly/libs.txt the entry for radio-t...

Re: radiotray does not work

That is extremely time consuming. Is there a simpler method? i don't know about simpler .. but .. you can: edit /etc/usm/usm.conf line 81 (or thereabouts) # Convert all slackware packages that are downloaded # to porteus modules. MODULES=false which will give you packages.. unfortunately, usm doesn...
