Domino 0.4 x86 (KDE3 theme)

Post#1 by Kriss » 16 Nov 2011, 19:02

Here it is.
I wasn't satisfied with kde themes in Slax so I've compiled this for myself. Can't remember why I had to do it, most likely precompiled ones didn't work for me.
Here's a screenshot with one of default color schemes

This wonderful module should be in Porteus Desktops because, it is related to Desktop Environment Style/Theme.

Looks great. I guess if enough themes get made i could add a section to the package manager.

@Blaze
Huh?
Actually it's this one. I'll post a link in my first post...
Not sure what does "trinitization" mean, but I use my module in Porteus32 1.1rc1 and screenshot was made there.
Also it worked fine in Slax.

Edit: module re-uploaded, I wasn't particularly picky in the past and it looks like I was so happy I got it working that I included /var directory...

Not sure what does "trinitization" mean
Trinity is the version of KDE that 32bit Porteus is using. After development stopped for the 3.5 branch it was picked up by someone else and called Trinity (KDE-3.5.12). Trinitization would mean something has been modified for Trinity. You can think of the appendage of 'ation' in English referring to 'the act of' doing something as in 'Meditation=The act of meditating' or "defenistration=The act of throwing someone or something out of a window." So i guess trinitization means to say that something was changed to suit Trinity ... like a Borgs use of assimilation.

Hope that helps and not confuses.

Yes, it's just I don't know what was changed.
As I noted this theme works in both cases (KDE in Slax and Trinity in Porteus) it means that everything's the same more or less.
I've noticed that "trinitized" theme used /opt directory but I believe it's just a nuance of distro...

Yes /opt is the default when compiling trinity so it can alongside KDE4 (if wanted). I compiled to our standard /usr format though. This will be a factor of using these themes since we don't use the opt path.
