unrecognized Client Program Format

Post#1 by Floralcrest » 25 Jul 2017, 11:24

Hi, guys. No matter what I do, my Powerbook G4 12" is giving me the "unrecognized Client Program Format" error, and never gets to square one. I am attempting to boot from USB, and have tried all of the following dists:
Porteus-LXQT-v3.1-i486.iso
porteus-kiosk-v2.1-i486.iso
and
Porteus-Kiosk-3.7.0-i586.iso

Not knowing what file to boot, I have tried most of them.
Is there something obvious here that I have missed?
Thanks!

This is 'Power PC' architecture. It wont work with Porteus.

Sorry about that.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know whether there is any other build of Linux which might run from USB on a Powerbook with no HD?
