BTW, how is your tests with new Mesa/Xorg going?
Stunning. It runs much better than mesa-13 and I have had zero bugs so far. I am running Porteus based on slackware-current. The results of a benchmark are below.

Running with mesa gl renderer beats out the Gallium 0.4 on AMD ICELAND by a long shot.

I didn't, but:

SDL failed to create GL compatibility profile (whichProfile=0!

This application requires either the GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc or the GL_EXT_texture_compression_dxt1 + GL_ANGLE_texture_compression_dxt3 + GL_ANGLE_texture_compression_dxt5 OpenGL extensions. Please install S3TC texture support.
Dont know if its the opensource AMDGPU driver or if something is missing?

Trying to run the game INSURGENCY, worked well on old porteus with steam and catalyst driver

Blaze: Sorry but that dont help me at all my original question applies as its missing some s3tc libs in mesa
and i only have one gfx card.

ofc tried solution but no it dont help, same problem missing s3tc

and to be clear i do run other games such as open arena, counter-strike without problems *however they dont use s3tc as its a newer feature

What is missing from MESA as i can figure out is: S3 Texture Compression (S3TC) library for Mesa but i would like to have it confirmed
from someone else to

S3TC is nothing new. In fact Quake 3 (from 1999) uses it. Can you give some examples of games that are not working because of a lacking S3TC lib?

Anything newer then CS 1.6 for example:
Insurgency
Half-life2
Grid
to name a few

* If its to laggy with Opensource amdgpu i just have to try again to get amdgpu-pro working ;-)
