@francois NP ...

RE MC startup
looked into fix for mc startup: this seems to work:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ne ... e_hostname
edit hosts to look like:

Code: Select all

#
# /etc/hosts: static lookup table for host names
#

#<ip-address>	<hostname.domain.org>	<hostname>
127.0.0.1 	localhost.localdomain	localhost  nemesis
::1		localhost.localdomain	localhost  nemesis

# End of file

Thanks. The environment file in changes mode helps to. I will need to attend to that.

Please wait a little for further testing. The next release may be a little different (in terms of structure) from the Nemesis that you are testing now.

Yes I know I am not testing any more but just found a related issue to environment

/etc/nemesis.conf has duplications for me along these line

DISTRO=nemesis
BOOTDEV=/mnt/sda3
BASEDIR=/mnt/sda3
PORTDIR=/mnt/sda3/nemesis
MODDIR=/mnt/sda3/nemesis/modules
DISTRO=nemesis

bootdev and below duplicate

Thanks aus!
Addressed the duplicate entries in /etc/environment.

Thanks ncmprhnsbl!

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ne ... e_hostname
It seems hostnamectl doesn't alter the hosts file. Added the edited version to my tree.
