My usm does not find spotify at all - I am using XFCE - I tied to use spotify web player but flash is crashing and it does not work.

Hi baszek, to use slackbuilds with USM you need to do it in terminal.

Code: Select all

guest@porteus:~$ su
Password:
root@porteus:~# usm sbo -b spotify
otherwise you can go to http://slackbuilds.org/, search for spotify, download the slackbuild and the source file, extract the slackbuild and copy the source file into the slackbuild folder. from there open a terminal to that directory and use

Code: Select all

./Spotify.SlackBuild
from there it will build the package and store it in /tmp where you can convert it to a module.

I built spotify yesterday but it seems a little buggy

I installed it but every time I run it I get this error:

Code: Select all

root@porteus:~# spotify
spotify: error while loading shared libraries: libQtGui.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I installed the QT4 libraries already. Did I miss a step somewhere?

@NumericDreamz
are you sure you have used qt package with correct architecture? did you download it through USM?
if you are on 64bits then please use 'x86_64' if 32 then 'i486'.
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.
