Few words about VirtualBox-4.0.0 release.

Post#1 by fanthom » 13 Jan 2011, 19:24

Just added Vbox in latest version to official repo for both 32/64bit versions. This release is different as Oracle decided to put closed source components (usb support, DP Server, and PXE bootloader) into separated 'extension pack'. more info:

I wasn't sure if i can include 'extension pack' into LZM (probably not) that's why it's not there and users must add it themselves. you can get it from here:
http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualb ... ox-extpack
By downloading, you agree to the terms and conditions of the respective license.

Enjoy.
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.

Thanks Fanthom. This should resolve some peoples problems that can't get the kernel module to build because they lack full kernel sources.
How do i become super user?
