I never ran MOFO, not any version. I just wonder, are there compatibility issues between sharing modules between version 3.0 and 4.0, since it uses a different underlying Linux userland, as in Slackware/Porteus for 3.0 and Ubuntu for 4.0? Has anyone of you tried to use MOFO modules for 4.0 with a RUNNING mofo 3.0 or tried using MOFO 3.0 modules with a running MOFO 4.0?</curious Rava is:curious>

I would say yes. Ubuntu is bleeding edge and Porteus is aging. Some modules will work and other wont (dependency hell).

Well, it is fun to see that Porteus users were interested in MOFO Linux back when I was building it with Porteus. The configuration evolved into a rather nasty kludge of modules and scripts, so I eventually switched to Ubuntu, with apt based package management. I will say that Porteus was fast, being so bloat-free. I'm trying out Porteus 5 now, just to run a lightweight and fast driver on my devices.
