Japanese fonts and input

I'm quite happy with my transition to Porteus3.2.2 64bit LXDE. Thank you!

Now, what's the modern way to install the Japanese (Chinese) fonts and input methods (with keyboard layouts)?

What used to work in my old Porteus years ago was a combination of modules:

Code: Select all

odosung-font-1.4.2-noarch-1_Ahau.xzm
sazanami-fonts-ttf-20040629-noarch-1.xzm
scim-1.4.14+extras-i486-1Ahau.xzm
wqy-zenhei-font-ttf-0.8.38_1-noarch-1.xzm
Some of them are at
http://dl.porteus.org/i486/current/pack ... tion-Tool/

But I can't see modules for more recent 64bit porteus (3.3.2). Also is there a repository of fonts modules anywhere?

I don't really need to change the locale of system, but if I have to install it for Japanese fonts and input, I'd do it provided I can still keep the English locale.

I imaginethe process is the same for version 3.2.2. Nothing changed in the language files since the previous version. In the case it isn't working for you shoot a message to neko, our resident Japanese guru.
