I'll be honest, I'm not the brightest person. I installed Porteus on my C: and when I rebooted, I got the error, "No configuration file found No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found!"
I'm able to get Proteus up and running by booting to CD but if I remove the CD, I get the same error as above. How would I go about reverting it back to where my PC will boot from the windows OS rather than looking for Porteus. My boot order is the same as it always was and I made sure my PC was trying to boot to the windows OS drive.

PC trying to boot to Porteus w/out disk
I was able to get my computer back up and running. I had to use the Windows recovery disk, run cmd on it and rebuild the MBR. This has been a hard lesson to learn lol

You're a lot brighter than you let on.
Welcome to Porteus Porac.
Next time try installing Porteus on a separate partition and to multi-boot try Grub2Win. Or, use Grub2Win and boot the ISO directly.
