I'm trying to login as root. I make it into the initialization script, but I can't figure out how to stop it long enough to login. If I go into the submenu on the graphic page that precedes the initialization script, I can get to the text only, but then it won't let me negotiate to the file: /boot/syslinux/porteus.cfg. I'm sure I'm not seeing something really basic. Help please!

Or logout (via the menus) from the guest account, replace the "guest" username on the "Login:" screen by "root", press <enter>, type "toor" for the password and press <enter> again.
