Re: Porteus-3.1-32bit
Hi,
XFCE fails to reboot, displaying a black screen and fails to power down on a regular basis.
Suspect XFCE and could logging out of it and using poweroff & reboot at the CLI be more dependable?
Also, what are all the Shutdown & Restart CLI commands?
Kind Regards,
willard

Re: Acer Aspire M6530, Vista 32-bit
Hi,
I just did a Porteus 'Restart' on referenced micro to find that Vista now powers down during boot.
All Vista Repair attempts have not corrected this problem.
Q: Can Porteus inhibit windows Vista from booting?

su
# Password 'toor' for elevated privilege
reboot
poweroff

Hello willard,

If you know how to add kernel parameters to porteus bootloader then these should do the job:

Code: Select all

acpi=force reboot=warm,cold,bios,smp,triple,kbd,acpi,efi,pci,force
