MuseScore2 on Porteus?

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to Porteus. I have installed it on an old HP Mini 5102 (2011 model) I'm loving how it is very lightweight and efficient compared to the OEM Windows Vista!

I don't need a lot of software, Chrome and LibreOffice cover 90% of my needs, but I do want to install MuseScore2. I have this program on my MacBook Pro, but I would really like to also have it on my 5102 as I do need it for when I am doing typesetting of music or some composing.

I cannot get it to install from AppImage file format. Any ideas or suggestions will be much appreciated.

Regards,

Martin

ok.. good news
i'm on 64bit, so there might be some difference...
first make executable: (from terminal in same directory)

Code: Select all

chmod u+x MuseScore-2.0.3-x86_64.AppImage
then

Code: Select all

guest@porteus:~/Downloads$ ./MuseScore-2.0.3-x86_64.AppImage
/tmp/.mount_hOpDiQ/bin/mscore-portable: error while loading shared libraries: libgssapi_krb5.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
so..

Code: Select all

root@porteus:# usm -g krb5
(save the resulting xzm to /porteus/modules...unless maybe you are saving changes)
now MuseScore-2.0.3-x86_64.AppImage works here(just double click in filemanager)
