Wifi password not recognized after Porteus reboot

I am trying to use /rootcopy/ save my Wifi password.
I have put the following files into /rootcopy/:
/etc/dhcpcd.duid
/etc/resolv.conf
/etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf
/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/MyWifi (my connection is called "MyWifi")
The password is inside of that last file, and is still there after disconnecting.
During the same session, I can reconnect okay.
However, when I reboot Porteus and try to connect to wifi again, it asks for the wifi password (even though the password is still in that last file).
In one of the log files, I see this:
"nm-applet-Message: No keyring secrets found for MyWifi/802-11-wireless-security; asking user."
Any ideas what I'm missing?
