Porteus

I just installed, boot's very quickly from a USB device. Am just getting familiar with the package manager. I was wondering if an install package for mpv is available. https://mpv.io/

It depends on which Porteus you're using, if it's Porteus Slackware, then you can get a Slackbuild here:

You should be able to get it using USM, the package manager, it will also build it. For the Slackware version, you will need the devel xzm activated.

If you're talking about Porteus Nemesis, then there's an Arch package here:

Pman will download it and build a module.

Porteus Slackware. Thanks, I guess I've got a lot of reading to catch up on.

update: OK I tried installing as per instructions, asks me to install git, python etc, didn't work. Is there a slackware package or a Porteus module installer available, could someone make one.
