Booting porteus on a UEFI / GPT partition table

Hello,
I've read through the other topics (dated 2013 mind you) but none of them seemed to detail on my specific problem so here it goes and I hope I'm not over-reaching for creating this new thread.
So I've used Linux Mint recently which created a fat32 partition table for booting. I want to override everything with Porteus because I love this distro, I used it off and on for the past year or so, mostly on usb drives but now I want to bring it home on my main drive.
I tried running the script @brokenman wrote here http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php? ... 739#p18928 in order to, you know, erase my partition table and install the bootloader there, but it complains it's not external usb.
The simple installer ran but didn't create any bootloader config even though I specifically checked the checkbox in order to do so.
Please help this newbie out,
Thanks a bunch,
Fvr
