Is there a module of new KDE 5

Post#1 by lephunghien » 26 Mar 2015, 16:47

I'm just use porteus for a few hour, The OS is great but I'd like the flat UI of KDE 5 rather than the KDE 4. So Is there a module of KDE 5 or anything that can make flat UI for my computer. Thank you very much.

I've used KDE and never wanted anything but KDE. It's well organized.
I don't know the difference between versions, though, KDE4, KDE5...

Any chance Gimp's latest version gets eventually added in the ISO?
Office apps are there, Inkscape is there. I don't see any reason why Gimp is not added.

I would be surprised that developpers of porteus will soon be on kde 5 or plasma 5. The 5.2 version is still a lot buggy and the associated apps are still very few. But maybe a member of our forum might come up with an experimental version of plasma 5.2:

In my opinion, there is very few chances that you will get gimp on the iso. We try to keep its size under 200Mb and gimp with dependencies is a big program. However, you can easily install gimp on your porteus system with usm package manager as I did. :)
