Chrome homepage is Google Brazil [SOLVED]

Hi, really like Porteus, especially booting up in 20 seconds on a Dell D430.

Question though, which is bugging me:- with Chrome I set google.co.uk as my homepage and google as my default search engine (removing duckduckgo), but whenever I go to the homepage it defaults to Google Brazil (google.br) and then when I search for stuff it asks me if I want to translate from Portuguese. This is despite trying to change every and all references I can find to location and language in the Porteus settings.

Any advice? How can I set Chrome(ium) to default to google.co.uk, which it does on every other machine after I sign in?

At ISO builder I selected 64bit, Chrome, Libreoffice, LXDE, No utils, and English/UK keyboard and Europe/London timezone

Apologies. Please open a console and run this command as guest:

Code: Select all

sed -i 's/\.com\.br/\.com/g' /home/guest/.config/google-chrome/Default/Preferences
This will persist if you are saving changes. If not then let me know and I will upload a new chrome module for you to use.

I will add this to my cleanup script for chrome.

New chrome modules have been uploaded to: http://ponce.cc/porteus

They will be incorporated into the online builder shortly.
