[SOLVED] How to rebuild initrd to add JFS support

Post#1 by kapral » 27 Jul 2014, 08:21

I would like to rebuild the initrd to add some modules in order to make my usb-flash boot-able with Porteus (I need JFS support and seems something else). Actually, I know how to do it for Slackware.
I like JFS as it's very good for usb-flash (SSD), please see:

I have configured the boot-loader lilo for my usb-flash. It works ok, but after booting the kernel I got the error like "Can not found the dir /porteus ..."
What FS does the kernel support by default?
Please advise the best way for Porteus

Solved. I've added the jfs.ko to the initrd. Thanks
