Unified Slackware Package Manager (Porteus Package Manager)

Post#1 by pumbaa2 » 31 May 2014, 22:31

I take it this program is a work in progress. I saw a test file in the program. I attempted to update the databases for the Slackware Repo but I wasn't able to search for anything after I updated it. I closed the program and opened it again, but it told me I needed to update the databases again?

I like the concept that such a program is coming soon. This saves a lot of manual downloading and package conversion. Once the program is complete, I can give you a URL to add for the packages that I create. I mostly maintain stuff like MythTV, XBMC, etc.

I didn't do update all, I just updated the Slackware database. The others just dropped to a prompt when I tried to update them individually. I try the update all and post back. When I attempted to update USM directly, it said it was on the latest build. Then again I just built this ISO directly from the website 3 days ago as a customized ISO (nice feature btw).

Same with me. Doesn't work. I tried everything that forum advises - doesn't work at all.
