Hey guys,

I have 2.1 kde installed on a ext4 usb, everything works great except session saving.!!! I thought when You had a native filesystem it was supposed to save sessions automatically? I have rebooted 9 times and it never saves any changes that I make!!!! no background or themes. It does load all the modules I have installed. I am so stumped. Please help!! Oh yeah my porteus settings center will not open, I changed permissions for mnt/porteus because I was not able to make any changes as guest to this.

Jason

I had to manually create /mnt/sdb1/porteus/changes folder and then add changes=/porteus/changes to porteus.cfg file. I don't know why this was not created when I installed to usb? Anyway thanks.

Porteus 2.1 is in development. I imagine that we will have to wait the final product to see if saving of sessions will be manage as before. You can ask the question on porteus 2.1 bugs or read the different rc threads for 2.1. Or maybe someone on the development team will answer your interrogation. :)

there was a bug in porteus.cfg where 'changes=/porteus' cheatcode was missing. fixed now - thanks.
