Post#1 by UrUtusUbU » 03 Jun 2012, 21:31

in porteus what driver needed to load to have tact in a tactile screen.
i probe with wacom but i do not spend anything,
porteus have support for tactile screen??
in ubuntu netbook it comes from series and work fine without touching anything.
with lsmod >pormod, and ubuntumod, i compare drivers but I did not see coincidences, this worked for me once with drivers of temperature but not now,

porteus have support for tactile screen??
yes - as per this forum thread.

In 64bit edition i have added "wacomtablet" package which adds wacom module to "System settings" and a service/daemon which sniffs for wacom peripherals so everything should be working out of the box.
not sure if this package exist for qt3/Trinity. if not then you may have to tweak /etc/X11/xorg.conf manually. please have a look on this post:

i do not own this hardware so it's hard for me to give advices in this subject.
Anyway - please start from compiling latest wacom kernel driver and ddx driver from here (they will be included in porteus-1.2 final):

good luck!
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.

i use rc2 and are included version 1.14 of wacom driver but dont work for me, I load it with modprobe but not at all, i go to install 1.15, maybe mistakes myself for the number of versions because right now I do not see them but it is something like that,
i already will comment on the results,
bye thanks again.

Posted after 4 days 17 hours 50 minutes 20 seconds:

i dont know load the driver and i dont know tweak /etc/X11/xorg.conf, at the moment,
i can make a live kernel but i can load a simple driver, lol, :wall:, i must be half imbecil, :fool:

I beleive to load the driver you can issue the following from root console: modprobe wacom
How do i become super user?
Wear your underpants on the outside and put on a cape.
