Save the porteus.dat file on the same USB stick

How can i save the savechanges.dat file on the same USB stick, so that my changes are permament?

i fixed it, i used balera ... i did the recomended install and it is working

No Balera made the USB stick read only... so i reformated and installed as per PORTEUS instructions ... and then created the .dat file myself
