Autokey equivalent?

Hi!

The "g" and "h" on my laptop keyboard are bad. I have obtained a new keyboard, but it takes a while to install it and I haven't gotten around to it. In the meantime I was using Autokey so I could globally reassign these keys as cont4rol + f, etc. Is there any equivalent to this in Porteus? I have looked, but can't find anything. Khotkeys doesn't seem to work, even though it is in third party repositories. Thank you!

You can define any keys as you like using the standard Linux keybindings and copy one and tweak it.
But donald or beny are more proficient when it comes to these things, I just know it is possible but could not tell you from the top of my head how it's done.
Cheers!
Yours Rava

Code: Select all

guest@rava:/$ xcape --help
xcape: invalid option -- '-'
Usage: xcape [-d] [-f] [-t timeout_ms] [-e <mapping>]
Runs as a daemon unless -d or -f flag is set
Indeed XFCE does have it, but it is not a very verbose program. :D
