Here is a place for your projects which are not officially supported by the Porteus Team. For example: your own kernel patched with extra features; desktops not included in the standard ISO like Gnome; base modules that are different than the standard ISO, etc...

@fulalas
Would you tell me the differnce
the "Mesa" of the article "Linux 4.11-rc1 + Mesa 17.1 Git Tests"
and
the "mesa-17.0.1-1" arch package ?
The current "APorteus ISO" runs by "mesa-17.0.1-1".
And for testing case, it can run using overlay file system on "kernel 4.11-rc1".
Please refer to
http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php? ... 180#p53587
Thanks.

Well, Mesa 17.1 has some new features when compared to Mesa 17.0.1. You can check the change log here:

I really appreciate your efforts in building these modules so quickly. But in my particular case I'm just using Porteus based on Slackware.

Lucas, please, redownload the module of the first message since I've just uploaded with a new version. The other one was missing some plugins. It's still not going to work with KDE though, so I'm just informing you
To make other DEs work with this Xorg update I think you have to update some libs, lilke KF5. I'm not sure which ones exactly. This is a very boring procedure since we don't have any system feedback of what's wrong

Hi Tome and Fulalas,
Everything seems to be working fine for me, at least for now. I used Tome's suggestions, and using LXDE and KDE with option for booting both in the same machine.
Thanks,
Lucas.
