Porteus Kernel Builder

Here is a place for your projects which are not officially supported by the Porteus Team. For example: your own kernel patched with extra features; desktops not included in the standard ISO like Gnome; base modules that are different than the standard ISO, etc...

-----------------------------------------
I have done absent Porteus for a little term.
Kernel has been version-upped.

@brokenman
I will download vmlinuz & 000-kernel.xzm that you built.
And then I will convert to archlinux style.

Thanks.

@Rangan-Masti
Maybe you have gotten the version 4.13.5 kernel from the site that brokenman uploaded.

I will get it too and report about it.

Thanks.

@Ed_P
@fulalas
"Kernel builder" does not include the spec of kernel v3.2 line.
I will prepare it as soon as possible.
(It will need build & test time.)

Thanks.

[The report of the version 4.13.5 kernel from the site that brokenman uploaded]
1. It could be converted to archlinux style.
APorteus run without problem.

2. config difference from one of "Kernel builder"

Code: Select all

3c3
< # Linux/x86 4.13.3 Kernel Configuration
---
> # Linux/x86 4.13.5 Kernel Configuration
2841c2841
< # CONFIG_I2C_CBUS_GPIO is not set
---
> CONFIG_I2C_CBUS_GPIO=m
2859c2859
< # CONFIG_I2C_PARPORT is not set
---
> CONFIG_I2C_PARPORT=m
At next update, config of "Kernel builder" will be changed as same as one of 4.13.5 kernel.

[the spec of kernel v3.2 line]
It needs more time to make config.

Thanks
