Tool of Building Slimjet browser module

Here is a place for your projects which are not officially supported by the Porteus Team. For example: your own kernel patched with extra features; desktops not included in the standard ISO like Gnome; base modules that are different than the standard ISO, etc...

I tried on another device for working environment of slightly below 1gb free space but got another error - no space left in /tmp directory; I increased my save file for 256MB, rebooted and retried, conversion to about 70%, overheating then shutdown.

@Math
====================
I guess as follow.

Trouble at the time of the run command

Code: Select all

# mksquashfs slimjet-nnnn-aaa-xxxx slimjet-nnnn-aaa-xxxx.xzm -b 256K -comp xz -Xbcj x86
slimjet-nnnn-aaa-xxxx: expanded slimjet directory in the current directory.
slimjet-nnnn-aaa-xxxx.xzm: squash file that will be created from slimjet-nnnn-aaa-xxxx in the current directory.

mksquashfs command used memory resource.
And memory lack situation happened.
Kernel was abort.

It needs to increase available memory resource.
For example, boot Porteus without cheatcode "copy2ram" when "mkslimjet" command is used.

====================
"Is it based on Google chrome?"
Yes, it is.
SLIMJET is a web browser of GOOGLECHROME series.
http://www.slimjet.com/en/

If you get the slimjet-5.0.7.0-x86_64-3duoWIF.xzm,
http://www.mediafire.com/download/cm0c3 ... duoWIF.xzm
you can try the time being the current latest version SLIMJET.

Thanks

Thanks Necko. I had to use copy2ram because my system could not boot on KDE4 default settings. But as from yesterday it did, (can't explain why, it is also a question somebody may help me answer.)

Am posting with the one you shared. I am trying in a few minutes and post results.

Regards.

The latest version of Firefox is 41.0.2.

The version of Adobe Flash can be checked on the following site.
And the '.tar.gz' installation file of the latest one can be gotten from the same site.
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

The '.tar.gz' installation file can be converted to '.xzm' module by the mkflash command.

The mkflash command was added in mkslimjet-v3.1-noarch-4.xzm.
Please refer to the top article of this thread.

Thanks.
